“Resilient Rebel” from Lebanon

“Dream it, believe it, achieve it ! You can always find a way if you want!”
I have always been driven to explore the unknown, looking for unfamiliar objects, places and experiences.
In 2011 I decided to pursue a childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer in my home country Lebanon.
After graduating in 2014 I decided to immigrate to Canada looking for a better stable future for me and my family.
Being a mother of 2 little kids, adjusting to my new life wasn’t easy, but Speaking English and French helped a lot. People and the community were so open too and helpful.
All I had to do was walk into an event wearing one of my pieces, some ladies would approach and ask about my outfit and they would come a few days later and become my clients.
I had my first Fashion show in Toronto in April 2015 in less then a year from landing and many followed: Italy, Dubai, Costa Rica..... and one of my biggest success stories was having my last fashion show in 2022 in Collaboration with AUDI at their cars’ showroom.
In 2018 & 2021 I won 2 Marty’s awards, was a covid hero as I helped make thousands of masks during the pandemic.
I dressed celebrities during TIFF And for the last few years I have been dressing my city’s Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Miss Universe Canada since 2019.
I always introduce myself as a proud Lebanese and grateful Canadian, with all the challenges of being an immigrant I was able to have an inspiring story I can share with the new immigrants.
